- has major engine noise from timing chain area, engine oil very low, change overdue. code scan returned bank 1 camshaft actuator problems. live data confirmed exhaust cam timing is uncontrollable and erratic. vvt solenoid is failed but has possibly damaged actuator. RECOMMENDED EPR AND OIL CHANGE AND RETEST. transmission has valve body pressure switch codes but unable to drive due to timing chain problem. tested good in shop.
- Lubricate and check chassis. Change oil and oil filter. Check air filter and breather filter. Check all fluid levels and tire pressures. Preform basic safety inspection. Road test vehicle and vehicle running fine. No dtc reset at this time and vehicle running at proper temp.
- performed epr service and oil change. timing actuator noise gone and functioning as commanded during testing and test drive.
