Inspected the vehicles A/C and we confirmed the customers concern, next we checked the compressor and we found the freon level is just a little low and during testing we found the compressor in failure and will need to be replaced to correct the issue.
Removed and replaced the compressor and replenished the freon to the correct level. The new compressor tested good.
Recovered, vacuum test and recharged ac system for r1234yf system. Performed performance test and advised.

Inspected and found dtc c0326 and c0398 for range lock fault and actuator fault in transfer case control system, unable to clear dtc but can communicate with module. Tested lock and actuator and both systems passed test, found updated tccm programming specific for false setting of lock and actuator circuit. Recommended programming system with update and relearning all parameters.
Replaced both front stabilizer links.
Programmed tccm module, cleared all dtc and relearned all parameters. Checked and 4wd working great in all modes and no service lights on.

Inspected and found fill limit vent valve is not opening and stuck closed, can also command evap purge valve but no movement found.. recommend replacement of both purge valve and fill limit vent valve (on canister) and retest.
removed and replaced left side tail lamp bulb
Replaced tail lamp bulbs and all lights works fine.
Replaced canister vent solenoid assembly.
Done.
evap purge valve not operating as designed. commanded purge valve and no cycling. removed and replaced purge valve.
Verified no restriction, note vent line was very dirty. Test drove to gas station and added fuel, vehicle taking fuel fine.

Inspected the vehicle and we confirmed the customers concern and we preformed a scan of the vehicles computer and we found the code Po420 (Catalyst efficiency below threshold B1). To correct the issue we will need to replace the catalytic converter and the O2 sensoers.
Test drove the vehicle multiple times and no issues were found.
Removed the front catalytic converter and replaced it with a new converter and the new converter tested good.

We test drove the vehicle and were able to confirm the customers complaint on the thumping noise, With further inspection of the drive line we found the slip yolk was making a noise so we will need to remove the rear drive shaft and re-lube the yolk, we also need to open up the rear differential to inspect the gears due to them being low on fluid and the customer stated they had added fluid before they brought it in. Once the inspection was complete we will need to clean out the rear differential of any debris and add fresh AMS differential fluid . We would also suggest a transmission flush due to mileage, We checked the fluid to see if it would qualify and it was brown in color so it would be border line as to if we should preform the flush. Once we notified the customer of the situation and they preferred for us to preform the flush.
FLUSHED DIFFERENTIAL WITH NEW FLUID AND ADDED CORRECT CONDITIONERS.
Removed the Rear drive shaft and lubed the slip yolk and reinstalled shaft.
Flushed transmission with synthetic AMS oil transmission fluid.

Test drove vehicle and confirmed the customers complaint of vehicle is making a bad noise. Found that the left front wheel bearing is trashed internally causing a bad noise while driving. At this time I would recommend replacement of the wheel bearing.
Removed the bad wheel bearing and replaced it with new, after testing the new bearing checks out good.
Inspected and found a 185 milliamp draw on the negative terminal of the battery. After hooking up my draw testing set up and removing fuses from the battery junction box (main fuse box) and one by one I got to the IPC/DIM fuse (instrument cluster fuse) and after the removal of that fuse the draw dropped from 185 milliamps to 25 milliamps which is well within manufacturers specification for draw. I then removed the dash bezel and then removed the instrument cluster, unplugged it, then put the IPC fuse back in to find that the load on the battery stayed at 25 milliamps. Next I reinstalled all of the fuses to verify no other draws and found that the load stayed within specification at 34 milliamps. Manufacturer recommends a maximum draw of 50 milliamps before there is an issue. At this time i would recommend the replacement of the instrument cluster, or we can send it off to be rebuilt.

Test drove. Could hear a grumpling/rattle noise coming from powertrain. Inspected the engine at idle and no noise present. No knocking noise ever observed. When reving engine up to 1500rpm to 1900rpm rattling noise present. Found that it is not coming from engine and is coming from transmission area. Lifted car and checked transmission fluid. Found trans mission fluid 1 gallon low. Topped off fluid and found leak at the front near transmission cooler lines. It appears it has been leaking for a while. Test drove after topping off fluids and found noise is no longer present. Note; being 1 gallon low ruins transmissions. There could be permanent damage in transmission. I recommend correct trans line leak and drive.
Removed trans cooler lines from transmission. Replaced gasket with new and bolted back into place. Cleaned are and checked for leaks.

Attempted to start vehicle and it did start on the first crank, started with performing a battery test and battery has tested good putting out 12.72v and measuring at 869cca and rated at 800cca . Passed stater test cranking normal charging at 14.52v -14.37v .At this time charging system component's are testing good could not duplicate failure truck is cranking normal .

Inspected all brake component's and they are in good shape front brake pad's measuring at 8mm and rear brake pad's measuring at 9mm all 4 rotor's are at manufactured spec . Check all fluid's and they are clean and topped off were necessory to proper level. Check cabin and engine air filter's and they are nice and clean. All interior and exterior light's are all functioning great. Drive belt's and coolant hoses look good . Inspected all the tire's tread depth are below: Left front 4/32 and Right front 7/32 Set psi to 35 Left rear 9/32 and Right rear 8/32 Set psi to 35 Suggest 1 tire on the left front.

4 WHEELS ROTATION COMPLETE
Inspected and found brake pads on the rear are at 1mm and wheel seals are leaking on the rotors and recommend replacing them along with the rear brake pads, also notice that the pinon seal is leaking and there is also an oil leak but will need to add dye to the system and have customer bring back in to put a light underneath and see where the oil leak is coming from. All 4 tire sensor is not reading and would recommend replacing . Front brake pads are measuring at 6mm an rotors are in spec . Tire tread life is 10/32 on both fronts and 9/32 on the rears but all 4 tires are showing signs of cupping which will cause vibration .
Could not duplicate any active codes at this time just a history code u0422 which is indicating invalid data received from bcm but nothing to be concerned about at this time.
