Scanned the ECU for codes and found code B1081 (Left temp door shorted to ground) and code B1083 (Recirculation door mechanical failure) Which shows us the left temperature blend door motor is bad and will need to be replaced. When we vacuumed doen the A/C system we recovered 2.3 lbs of freon and the system only required 1.5lbs so we returned it to the proper setting.
Service air conditioner. Check condition of all belts and lines. Evacuate and recharge with reclaimed R-134. Test system performance.

Test drove vehicle and found there is a constant noise that is increasing with speed and a grinding noise when making turns, Found that the left front wheel bearing has failed.
Replaced Left Front wheel bearing, test drove vehicle and ensured there is no wobble or excessive movement , Ensured there are no ABS or traction control warning lights on dash. At this time new wheel bearing is working as designed.

Test drive confirmed the customers complaint with the clunking noise coming from the front end, once it was in on the lift we checked out the front end on the right side and found the wheel bearing was bad and will need to be replaced which also messed up the front brakes.
Installed new brake pads and resurfaced rotors. Test drove and vehicle stopping great.
Replaced the right front hub bearing and test drove the vehicle and there were no more noises coming from the front end and all checks out good at this time.

Test drove customers vehicle and confirmed the customers concern with the brakes making a bad noise, we found the rear brakes to be at a 0mm and the rear rotors are damaged due to the metal on metal status. Also found the oil change to be due in 500 miles. Customer declined the oil change but approved the brakes at this time.
Installed new brake pads and replaced rotors. Test drove and vehicle stopping great.

Inspected and verified transmission shudder, fluid color and level good, Scan tool monitor showed tcm commanding gear at correct times and no spec out of range, bi directional shift still shuddering under medium load, research found bulletin from ford recommending update program and retesting, then replacing tcm if needed, from our experience the program helps but transmission may already have internal mechanical damage.

Inspected and found engine slightly louder. There is a oil leak coming from valve cover gasket and vacuum pump. This is causing the burning smell when it drips on exhaust. Recommend replacing both. The lower engine strut mount is bad and can cause some extra noise when conditions are right. Usually, start up when the rpms are higher. Also found a heat shield touching the exhaust. Test drove after the mount was replaced and found there was some slight lack of power under harder acceleration. Turbo functioning correctly but either the wastegate is sticking or the regulating valve solenoid is not functioning. Performed and test and found that the wastegate is good but the solenoid will intermittently not function as it should. This is intermittent as the next drive it functioned with no problem at all. This could as cause the engine to make a louder sound when failing. Recommend regulating valve solenoid to correct concern. Notes; Engine air filter appears to be wrong. The filter cover screws are stripped/broken and this indicates the filter was forcibly installed. Also found coolant on the top right engine mount. Coolant reservoir cracked/leaking.
Replaced valve cover gasket and cleaned the area. Checked for leaks.
Replaced lower engine torque mount with new.
Replaced coolant reservoir with new. Filled with coolant and tested for leaks. None found.

Inspection found the right front wheel bearing to be bad and may have damaged the vac hub for the 4X4 once the wheel hub is replaced we will know. Found the right front brake rotors and pads are in need of replacement as well. The front struts are likely bad as well will need to checked when the wheel bearing is replaced. Also found a few oil leaks which would need to be checked out. Inspection found that both CV axles have lost their boots and the grease is gone and wearing out the axles. Also found the upper and lower ball joint boots are ripped and or missing causing the ball joints to be dry. Customer declined replacing the ball joints and tie rod ends and front brakes at this time.
Replace passenger front wheel bearing.

Performed inspection and found the purge valve had failed which caused the difficulty starting after filling up the gas tank. Also found the oil leak is due to a faulty oil pan gasket, once the gasket was replaced and all the oil residue was cleaned up no more leaks were found and all checked out good at this time 8 mm 8 mm 3/32 3/32 5 mm 5 mm 8/32 8/32
Replace canister purge valve.
Lubricate and check chassis. Change oil and oil filter. Check air filter and breather filter. Check all fluid levels and tire pressures. Preform basic safety inspection. Road test vehicle.
Replace the oil pan due to sever oil leak and cleaned up oil residue and all checked out good at this time.

Confirmed concern. Found phasers rattling on cold start. I didn't hear anything from motor. At this point I recommend cam phasers, timing chains, guides & tensioners. While replacing recommend water pump and thermostat. Recommend tune up w/ coil boots as I can see the boots are worn. Pulled one plug and found plug worn. Serp belt should be replaced. Noticied right side turbo has a small leak.
Removed belts and timing cover. Set timing marks and replaced chains, tensioners, guides, and bolts. Replaced cam phasers. Found solenoids were showing some wear at screen Replaced all 4 solenoids. Replaced all gaskets and seals. New serp belt and ac belt. Installed customer supplied spark plugs and boots. Filled with 2 gallons of coolant. Test run and performed engine flush along with LOF. Test drove 3 times getting to temp and bringing back down. Final check on lift with no concerns.
Lubricate and check chassis. Change oil and oil filter. Check air filter and breather filter. Check all fluid levels and tire pressures. Preform basic safety inspection. Road test vehicle.
INSTALLED BG EPR 109 FLUSH AND RAN VEHICLE. CHANGED OIL AND FILTER AND INSTALLED BG MOA ADVANCED FORMULA.
