- Test drove. Could hear a grumpling/rattle noise coming from powertrain. Inspected the engine at idle and no noise present. No knocking noise ever observed. When reving engine up to 1500rpm to 1900rpm rattling noise present. Found that it is not coming from engine and is coming from transmission area. Lifted car and checked transmission fluid. Found trans mission fluid 1 gallon low. Topped off fluid and found leak at the front near transmission cooler lines. It appears it has been leaking for a while. Test drove after topping off fluids and found noise is no longer present. Note; being 1 gallon low ruins transmissions. There could be permanent damage in transmission. I recommend correct trans line leak and drive.
- Removed trans cooler lines from transmission. Replaced gasket with new and bolted back into place. Cleaned are and checked for leaks.
