- Inspected and verified transmission shudder, fluid color and level good, Scan tool monitor showed tcm commanding gear at correct times and no spec out of range, bi directional shift still shuddering under medium load, research found bulletin from ford recommending update program and retesting, then replacing tcm if needed, from our experience the program helps but transmission may already have internal mechanical damage.
