- Confirmed concern. Found phasers rattling on cold start. I didn't hear anything from motor. At this point I recommend cam phasers, timing chains, guides & tensioners. While replacing recommend water pump and thermostat. Recommend tune up w/ coil boots as I can see the boots are worn. Pulled one plug and found plug worn. Serp belt should be replaced. Noticied right side turbo has a small leak.
- Removed belts and timing cover. Set timing marks and replaced chains, tensioners, guides, and bolts. Replaced cam phasers. Found solenoids were showing some wear at screen Replaced all 4 solenoids. Replaced all gaskets and seals. New serp belt and ac belt. Installed customer supplied spark plugs and boots. Filled with 2 gallons of coolant. Test run and performed engine flush along with LOF. Test drove 3 times getting to temp and bringing back down. Final check on lift with no concerns.
- Lubricate and check chassis. Change oil and oil filter. Check air filter and breather filter. Check all fluid levels and tire pressures. Preform basic safety inspection. Road test vehicle.
- INSTALLED BG EPR 109 FLUSH AND RAN VEHICLE. CHANGED OIL AND FILTER AND INSTALLED BG MOA ADVANCED FORMULA.
