- We pulled the vehicle into the shop and began testing the HVAC for operation with our computer and we found the vehicle needs a mode door actuator due to its being stuck on the dash vents. To correct the issue we will need to replace the mode actuator. Once the mode actuator was installed and the dash was reassembled the we found the blend actuator was failing when we used the computer to prompt the actuators to reprogram we found it would swing full to one direction and it would stop half way on the return sweep. We cleared the program and attempted to reprogram and we had the same results multiple times. Further testing revels we will need to replace another actuator. Once both actuators were replaced we attempted another reprogram and this time the reprogram was successful and the HVAC is operating as it was designed to.
- Installed two actuators and after reprogramming the HVAC tested good.
