- engine has internal bearing failure noise when running. found engine oil is milky and has extreme metal debris. coolant res is empty. oil change 7k overdue. code scan returned p0016 cam correlation, p1285 cylinder head overtemp, p1299 cylinder head overtemp protection active. determined engine failure due to poor oil change maintenance and water pump failure causing oil contamination and overheating. REC REPLACE ENGINE ASSEMBLY, CUSTOMER REQUEST CHANGE OIL AND FILTER. TOP OFF COOLANT, CUSTOMER IS SELLING VEHICLE.
- Lubricate and check chassis. Change oil and oil filter. Check air filter and breather filter. Check all fluid levels and tire pressures. Preform basic safety inspection. Road test vehicle.
