    • Inspected and found coolant lines for rear heat damaged where lines make at 90 degree angle to rear, Recommended replacing heater line set and retest. Called Braun accessibility for cost and eta, eta 1 week and cost is over 1600 with shipping just on the part, we recommended removing and repairing coolant line for much less then the above part cost.
    • We removed both of the damaged heater hoses, and removed the protective wrap off of them. Next we cut the damaged heater pipe under the car and flared it along with cutting some scores into the pipe to ensure that the heater hose would have plenty of grip. After that we cut a new section of hose that was about 2.5 feet long and rewrapped it in the protective wrap, then secured the wrap to the hose with cloth tape and 2 pieces of heat shrink at either end, then spliced that inline with the cut and flared heater pipe. For the other damaged hose we cut about a 2 foot section and repeated the process with the protective wrap and spliced it in. With the modified heater pipe I was unable to reuse the original mounting bracket, so I removed it and made a new mount for the heater hoses/ pipe, along with I took a few pieces of the old hose and cut them down the center and put them around the new hoses where they make contact with each other and the bracket and secured them with zipties to ensure that the hoses could not be rubbed through. We installed all new hose clamps during the process, then pulled 25inHg of vacuum on the cooling system to verify there was no other leaks, then filled the cooling system, and test drove the vehicle and found no other concerns at this time.
