- Inspected and found that the shift cable bushing had crumbled and allowed the shift cable to come off of the shifter. At this time I would recommend replacement of the shift cable bushing to the console shifter and retesting. Ordered in rebuild kit. I removed what was left of old bushings and rebuilt connector. Then connected to transmission. Tested and now shifting as it should.
