Services Performed
- Test drove vehicle and confirmed the customers complaint of vehicle is making a bad noise. Found that the left front wheel bearing is trashed internally causing a bad noise while driving. At this time I would recommend replacement of the wheel bearing.
- Removed the bad wheel bearing and replaced it with new, after testing the new bearing checks out good.
- Inspected and found a 185 milliamp draw on the negative terminal of the battery. After hooking up my draw testing set up and removing fuses from the battery junction box (main fuse box) and one by one I got to the IPC/DIM fuse (instrument cluster fuse) and after the removal of that fuse the draw dropped from 185 milliamps to 25 milliamps which is well within manufacturers specification for draw. I then removed the dash bezel and then removed the instrument cluster, unplugged it, then put the IPC fuse back in to find that the load on the battery stayed at 25 milliamps. Next I reinstalled all of the fuses to verify no other draws and found that the load stayed within specification at 34 milliamps. Manufacturer recommends a maximum draw of 50 milliamps before there is an issue. At this time i would recommend the replacement of the instrument cluster, or we can send it off to be rebuilt.
- Rebuild Cluster / 1 year Warranty
